Account Deletion
Introduction
At SuyaBranch, we are committed to ensuring you have full control over your personal data. If you no longer wish to use our services, you may request the deletion of your account and personal information.
1. How to Delete Your Account (In-App)
You can instantly delete your account directly through the SuyaBranch app by following these steps:
- Open the SuyaBranch app and log in to your account.
- Navigate to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap on the Delete Account button.
- A confirmation dialog will appear. Read the warning carefully.
- Confirm the deletion. Your account will be immediately deactivated and scheduled for permanent data anonymization.
2. How to Request Account Deletion (Via Email)
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot access your account, you can request account deletion by emailing our support team.
- Send an email to support@suyabranch.com from the email address associated with your account.
- Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request.
- Include your full name and the phone number registered to your account to help us verify your identity.
Our team will process your request and securely delete your account within 3 to 5 business days.
3. Data Retention Policy
When you delete your account, here is what happens to your data:
- Personal Information (Deleted): Your name, email address, phone number, and physical addresses are permanently removed or anonymized.
- Authentication (Deleted): Your passwords, tokens, and active sessions are permanently revoked and deleted.
- Order History (Retained & Anonymized): For tax compliance, accounting, and anti-fraud purposes under Nigerian law, records of financial transactions (your past orders) are retained securely. However, these records are decoupled from your personal identity, meaning they can no longer be traced back to you.
